During the holidays I had a full face custom makeover at Sephora. During the process, the consultant tried new products on me some were added to my makeup bag and others were left at the store. So today I want to share some of the products that I walked away (purchased) – not all the products shown in the pictures were purchased during this makeover.
This is an old favorite and one that will stay in my makeup bag for years and years to come. (I promise if they discontinue the product – I will buy all that they have) Because my makeup goal is to have full coverage, I use the Halo powder as a finishing powder. It is very light and gives great coverage. You have to twist the container and it shaves off a little at time, you only need a little of the product. I’m not a big moisturizer person (shoot me why don’t you) but I think (just my opinion) that this product helps hydrate my faces, just enough. Plus it last 10 hours – through everything (gym, outdoor weddings, etc.) which is the best part.
If you’ve read through my old post then you will know that I have these dark under eye circles that I can’t stand with a passion. So when the consultant gave me the run down on how the Becca Corrector brightens and conceals all in one, I knew I had to try it. Again you don’t need a lot of the product under your eye – just a tab goes a long way. The product is really thick and creamy and it is best to use an eye shadow brush. The corrector eliminates the shadow and minimizes the dark circles and brightens. It doesn’t get cakey at all. I think that if you are looking for a corrector then this could be a really good option for you. (NOTE: Laura Mercia’s loose powder also helps brighten your under eye)
I love a natural lip just because I’m still experimenting with bold, dark colors that fit my skin tone. When I getting the makeover I told her I wanted a neutral lip that had a matte look to it. We used this and added Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick – Ashton on top to mattify the NARS lip pencil. My lip color lasted until I ate dinner and even then not much of it came off. I would recommend this product because there is nothing worse than having lipstick all over the place.
My experience may be different than others so I suggest trying the products before you make that purchase, but if you make the purchase and doesn’t work Sephora has a great return/exchange policy.
