Valentines Day is almost here!Who’s excited? Who’s not? I’ve got mixed feelings about it, but I’m all about having an excuse to celebrate.
If you’re not a big fan of V-Day, I outlined are some adjustments that I made so I would have happier days – no matter my status – so be sure to check that out. It is important to have self-love and pampering yourself – all year not just on Valentine’s Day.
1. PAMPER YOURSELF
Not an original idea, but how often do you really treat yourself to a full mani pedi sesh? Me – pretty often, but if it’s not that often, call your local nail salon and book it…right now. I’m a huge fan of neutrals, but a fiery red is also good.
Head to a local blow dry bar or beautician and let them work their magic on your hair There’s really nothing better than having someone wash your hair (and give your scalp a massage — girl!) and then take the time to make your hair look amazing. Who doesn’t love a good hair day – so you can take 10842904 selfies and post them on all your social media – I’m here for it!
2. TAKE THE DAY OFF!
Play hookie from work – forget that long list of things to do and take the day to do whatever you want to do. Wake up late, make your favorite breakfast enjoy it in bed. Dive deep in a book with your favorite face mask on to relax yourself. To end the day enjoy a bubble bath with a glass of champagne surrounded by candles and soft instrumental music playing! Sounds so relaxing!
3. HANGOUT WITH FRIENDS
If you have friends that are single as well, get together with them and enjoy a nice dinner. Nothing makes me happier than having friends that can lift you up when you are down in the dumps and you know your favorite girls are not going to let you be down about Valentine’s day. Enjoy a great meal somewhere you’ve been itching to go to and ENJOY!
Again there is nothing wrong with being single on Valentine’s Day. There is no written rule that you have to be down in the dumps because you don’t have a Valentine. I’m always saying that self love is the best love.
